9point8 Fall Line R dropper post

Known for the burliest dropper posts around, 9point8 is proud to introduce their Fall Line R dropper. What’s mind-blowing is it’s cuttable too, which allows dropping the weight to 335 grams.

Weight is something that’s not too important to the All Mountain rider, the core market of the dropper post. But for the Trail and XC market, it is a key objection to dropper posts. The safety and downhill speed of dropper posts are established, but for XC racing, top-level athletes are concerned about watts per kilo ratios. This is an interesting proposition indeed to expand the market for these wonder tools.

9point8 Fall Line R with cut lines.

At 386g (post only), 75mm stroke, and 400mm overall length, it’s the lightest dropper post you can buy. Lighter than competitor carbon droppers. It’s cuttable too! Cut-down, it only weighs 335g. The installed weight, cut-down, is less than 400g!

9point8 Fall Line R 400 and 375.

The Fall Line R is just as strong and reliable as all the regular Fall Line droppers. Weight reduction has been achieved through rigorous engineering, careful attention to the architecture of the post, and precision machining. There is no rider weight limit for the Fall Line R. Cross country racing is the obvious application of this new seatpost, but it will perform equally well on trail bikes and enduro; anywhere that reduced weight is desirable.
