Shaperideshoot’s videos are usually jaw-dropping. They mate Vincent Tupin’s (VinnyT) dynamic riding with some of the best filmmaking in the business. Not only is the riding so expressive but the framing and editing is so original as well. Though most viewers will miss the difficulty and nuances of what they’re doing, the true enthusiasts know that this is next-level stuff done on small budgets.
So enjoy the latest from Shaperideshoot.

Standing next to his bike or sitting in the back of the truck, Vinny T looks like any other rider. Fiveten shoes, DH riding pants and jersey, full face helmet and goggles are standard fare. But on his bike, his feet are twisted and his hands loose and open on the bars revealing his unmistakable style. His riding is a blend of odd, contorted positions. His flow is as loose as his grip on the bars. He corks the bars so far, his feet come off, and he’s bent up with his one-footer out under the post. When he’s pinned, it’s the disconnected way he floats above the bike while it blasts through the twists or over rocks that keeps him stable.
If there is Wikipedia definition of how to ride ‘dead sailor’, VinnyT’s riding would be the complete opposite of it. His riding is alive and expressive. He is detached from the bike but one with the bike to create a symphony on every run.
And to our benefit, they have the trails in France where he can express his art. And more important, we have a worthy film maker in Gaetan Rey that can capture this magic and bring it to us.
Video by Shaperideshoot, filmed and edited by Gaëtan Rey and featuring VinnyT.
