Whyte Bikes started 19 years ago with just one bike, but that one bike was loaded with more radical innovation than the entire ranges of most manufacturers. They created a massive impact, reset some benchmarks, and learned some lessons. The biggest one was that if you have the best bike designers working with total freedom you can create something amazing. It started a string of perfect review scores that’s stronger than ever today with our T-130RS storming to an undisputed Trail bike of the year award and the T-130C, T-129 and 900 series bikes also earning perfect scores from the mountain bike media.

First ride of the new 150mm travel trail tamer with tweaked fork geometry from U.K. innovators Whyte on the awesome trails of South Wales.
S-150 Works
The Whyte Enduro team will have a secret weapon in 2018 – the S-150 Works is their “out of the box” race bike for the more all-round events. Already there have been wins at the Master’s National Championships and we are sure this is just the beginning for this great all-round bike. There is a wish list spec on the Works, but standouts include the 30mm hookless Whyte carbon rims hand laced onto Hope Pro4 hubs, the XX1 Reverb, under the bar paddle lever and the RockShox suspension.
S-150 RS
With its all-new sculpted carbon front triangle the S-150 C RS certainly looks the part. Add Eagle GX, the brand new RockShox Pike and Deluxe suspension and you’ve got the fastest trail bike they’ve ever made. S in S-150 stands for Switch, the ability to fit 650b wheels with 2.8″ tires and still have UK levels of mud clearance. Maxxis 3C compound is peerless in the level of front end grip it provides. The 29mm wide rims create a stable bead platform for these tires so you can push them right to the limit.
G-170 Carbon Works
This G-170 C Works will not only be raced by their Gravity Enduro team, it was actually designed in conjunction with them. Their input to the geometry, combined with the new carbon front triangle and oversize hardware, adds up to a very stiff and capable chassis. This bike is ready for anything you want to throw at it, from hard-core trail riding to EWS Enduro racing. With its clever open front triangle design it is possible to fit various rear shocks, including coil shocks but still carry a full-size water bottle.
G-170 Carbon RS
The new G-170 C RS uses the same highly developed frame as the Works bike which their team races on. The parts are picked to make the most of this frame – from RockShox suspension to the new Eagle GX groupset, the RS is everything a modern long travel bike should be. This bike is ready for anything you want to throw at it, from hard-core trail riding to EWS Enduro racing. With its clever open front triangle design it is possible to fit various rear shocks, including coil shocks but still carry a full-size water bottle.
T-130 Carbon Works
The T-130 C Works features their “5/5 award winning” single ring specific Carbon frame. A full width main pivot that increases torsional stiffness, extends bearing life and maximizes suspension performance. The Works gets a wish list spec built around SRAM’s revolutionary Eagle drivetrain, which comes in the top spec XX1 Gold version. With X-Dome cassette technology and Hard Chrome coating on both the chain and cassette, shifting and wear resistance have never been better.
T-130 Carbon RS
The T-130 C RS features their “5/5 award winning” single ring specific Carbon frame. A full width main pivot that increases torsional stiffness, extends bearing life and maximizes suspension performance. SRAM’s new Eagle GX 12 speed drive-train is used on the T-130 C RS. This evolutionary groupset gives a massive 10-50 gear spread cassette, allowing the chainring to be increased to 34t, giving both top and bottom range improvement. RaceFace AR-30, 30mm wide, sleeved joint, UST Tubeless rims are combined with Maxxis TR tires to give exceptional levels of control. Boost 148mm rear and 110mm front hubs have 10mm wide flange spacing creating a stiffer wheel.
T-130 Aluminum RS
The T-130 RS features their “multi award winning” SCR single ring specific frame with mega-stiff symmetrical chainstays. A full width main pivot increases torsional stiffness, extends bearing life and maximizes suspension performance. The T-130 RS gets a big suspension upgrade in 2018 using the Fox 34 Performance Elite fork with its acclaimed FIT-4 damper. Whyte hubs are laced to WTB STs i29 29mm wide rims with WTB high air volume tires to allow you to exploit even more speed and fun out of the T-130′s geometry.
2018 905
The new 2018 905 defines the modern Trail Hardtail. Its stripped back SCR frame, the all new RockShox Revelation fork, and the 2.8″ tires make this the best 905 Whyte have ever built. The 2018 905 brings ideas directly from their Whyte Enduro team, from the thicker V-Grips to the use of 170mm cranks to bring the rider 5mm closer to the ground without compromising pedal clearance. WTB STp i35 35mm wide TCS rims combined with Maxxis 2.8″ high volume TR 3C compounds create more comfort, more grip and more fun.
2018 901
With the 901 it’s all about the geometry – it will make you feel more confident in all situations than any hardtail you’ve ever ridden. With its BBX frame there is the easy option to upgrade to a Whyte Drop.it seat post. For 2018, the 901 rides on high air volume 2.6″ Maxxis Forekaster tires which combine with the WTB STP i29 rims to create more comfort, more control and more fun. The award winning 901 features the “Get A Grip” seat post clamp system.
