The freeride era started on big natural lines, but as the sport evolved, top riders such as Darren Berrecloth, Cedric Gracia, and Kyle Straight started mixing things up by inserting tricks. Over the years, Red Bull Rampage has followed the same progression. The event, which originally glorified sending it big, gradually morphed into a burly slopestyle course. But for 2016, the event is going back to its roots. Rather than take our word for it, hit play and listen to Berrecloth explain how his BMX background helped change the dynamics of Red Bull Rampage.
