Mitch Ropelato’s very (very) long week

High fives and smiles are key to Mitch’s success.

High fives and smiles are key to Mitch’s success.

While a lot of athletes take themselves seriously and are sometimes standoffish with fans, Mitch Ropelato is the exact opposite. He’s always down to say hi and throw out some high fives. And let’s not forget, he’s also insanely talented on two wheels. Last year, he stepped back from racing World Cup events, but now he’s back competing under the newly formed Santa Cruz/SRAM/TLD team. Ropelato’s first big win for the new team came earlier this year, when he grabbed the King of Crankworx crown. Check out this amazing montage of POV footage to see what it takes to capture this coveted crown.
